So this last week, we designed and built a small greenhouse to try and get a few extra months of growing in for our herbs and veggies. It is designed to sit in the only spot that gets afternoon sun most of the year and the plastic and frame should just lift off when the weather gets better leaving a stepped plant stand behind for the summer months.
We tried a couple different types of plastic, but ended up biting the bullet and using 6mil water vapor barrier plastic in the end. Our greenhouse costs were just a smidge over $100 with the majority of that being the plastic :)
Here’s some photos of the build and end results (the final results photos were shot using TS’s New JVC Everio HD video camera (thanks Mom2)….. WOW what a system :) ).
